Why should I regear?
Installing larger tires makes the engine work harder, which slows acceleration, reduces fuel economy, and puts extra stress on your engine and transmission. Regearing to a more aggressive gear ratio restores lost power, improves throttle response, makes off-roading easier, and helps your drivetrain operate more efficiently by returning your engine to its optimal RPM range, which can prevent premature wear and costly repairs.
